Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard how Senator Ted Cruz deserted Texas and flew to Cancún while his state dealt with freezing temperatures and power outages.

After receiving major backlash, Ted claimed he was only traveling to “be a good dad” and accompany his daughters. Maybe he should have tried harder to be a good Senator!
Well, good ol’ SNL jumped on the opportunity to make fun of all this.

In the sketch, “Britney” hosted a new show called Oops, You Did It Again, where celebrities and politicians can apologize when they screw up.

She also gave a hilarious shout out to their sponsor, the Notes App: “Are you looking to post a lame apology 20 years late? Go through the motions with the Notes App!”
When “Britney” commented on how tan “Ted” looked, he had this questionable response.
She brought up “Ted” abandoning his state, and he addressed the backlash.
And he joked about his deepest regret over the past few days.
After she gave him a serious look, he apologized and made a very accurate observation.
“Ted” also confessed to blaming the whole thing on his kids.
And “Britney” had the perfect response!
Then, they finished up their interview with some dance moves and insight into what Texans must be feeling at the moment.
