Clothing And Shoes That Will Last A Long Time

If Docs are my default fall/winter shoe, then Swedish Hasbeens are definitely my spring/summer pick. I have regular ol’ clogs, sky-high chunky sandals, strappy heels, and low-profile everyday peep toes. When I bought my first pair, I was certain they’d only be for days when I felt like dressing up ’cause wearing wooden-soled shoes and having to walk a few miles over the course of my daily NYC commute seemed like pure torture. Turns out I was wrong, though! They’re weirdly easy to walk in, way more comfortable than they look, and they’re a compliment magnet. I’ve had my favorite pair for three or four years now and they’ve taken quite the beating (rain, thousands of subway stairs, cobblestones, etc.) but show little wear.

Promising review: “Sophisticated, elegant, chic — these are the adjectives I give Swedish Hasbeens. First off, they’re exceptionally beautiful and extraordinarily comfortable for clogs! I’ve been wearing clogs since I was a girl growing up in the 70s/80s so I’ve worn so many brands… but none compare to Swedish Hasbeens. The quality alone is ridiculous! I own the Super High Mule in bubblegum pink, nature, and cognac. I also own a few of their open toe wedges/sandals so I’ve now had experience with all of their different style clogs, except for their boots, which I hope to also own one day. I love them all! The craftsmanship is amazing and so stunning; like no other clogs out there and in a variety of styles and heels heights to please everyone. If you’re a true clog lover, try and buy a pair of Swedish Hasbeens once to see the difference.” —Audra Riccitelli
